Jackal

  • Characteristic features
    These animals have a yellow-brownish fur, the back and the tail is black. With a shoulder height of 45 to 50cm and a weight of 6-10kg this jackal is day and night active as long as he feels secure.

  • Special characteristics
    As animals that live in monogamy they have only one partner.

  • Food
    Their prey consists of insects, rodents, reptiles, birds, hares, young antelopes, eggs and fruits.

  • Enemies
    Their most common enemies are leopards, cheetahs, lions and pythons.

  • Life expectancy
    Their life expectancy is from 10 to 14 years.
